He was 22 years of age of Pan U District in Canton.
His father is named Yau Kin. He is dead. His mother is surnamed Fong. There were two brothers of whom I was the younger, living together in Ko She in Siu Pak Chik Street. On the 25th. of the intercalary 8th. moon (18th. October), I went to Sung Shiu-tung's residence at Hau Lau Fong. On the 3rd. of this moon, Sung Shiu-tung privately sent 50 pieces of Dynamite by the Kong Tung Steamer from Macao to Canton. Ten pieces of this dynamite were buried 5 feet deep by Jung Shiu-tung in a house in Hau Lau Fong. On the night of the 5th. a white thread of powder was used as a fuze. The thread was bound to the end of a watchman's piece of incense. (I) saw Shiu Tung on the 6th. who said he must go to Singapore, and told me to return quickly to Macao, and that if there was any business in future (he) would go to Macao and (we) would meet together. I returned to Macao by boat on the 7th.. Beyond this (as to) the secret stowing of dynamite in the Official Halls for the reception of visitors at the Tartar-General's Yamen and the Treasurer's Yamen and (at) the Gunpowder Magazine and the Arsenal within the City at Kun Yam Shan (1) unfortunately had little opportunity (of knowing whether) after all there was any secret storing. Sung Shiu-tung must be asked to know. I became acquainted with Yeung Ku Wan first in the 8th. moon of this year who appointed me General Commandant (of Manchu Forces, also means President of a Republic) of
